The Toronto Trans Alliance Steering Committee would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who came to the historic first trans flag-raising at Toronto City Hall, in recognition of Trans Day of Remembrance, November 20, 2014.
We so appreciate you staying with us, enduring the bitter cold and challenging moments.
It was described as a moving event, and a privilege to be there.
Our speakers were all brilliant and diverse. With a tremendous press response, every effort was made to focus on creating awareness and understanding, in the effort to help combat transphobia.
The show of respect from our Toronto dignitaries, including Ontario Human Rights Commission Chief Commissioner Barbara Hall and Mayor-Elect John Tory, was amazing.
We are so appreciative of everyone’s help and participation.
Congratulations to all from the TTA Steering Committee
